Blue Sky Uranium (TSX.v: BSK) (OTCQB: BKUCF) is exploring for uranium in Argentina. Management believes that uranium is deeply undervalued relative to the cost of production and that growing demand can also lift prices. Argentina has three active nuclear plants and uses half a million pounds of uranium annually, all of which are imported. This means a domestic source would be welcomed.
The Amarillo Grande Project is 250,000 hectares along a 140 km long uranium-mineralized trend. Early stage exploration work includes mapping, trenching, and shallow drilling with uranium showings as high as 1.81% U3O8. The company just brought in more than $3 million for its ongoing 3,000 meter exploration program. Blue Sky hopes to begin compiling a resource estimate this summer.
Blue Sky Uranium is a Grosso Group company, which has a proven track record of discovery and resource project development in Argentina, with its latest success being Golden Arrow Resources’ JV with Silver Standard Resources.
